About

I am Kayla M. Crum, Author behind Reformed Girl

I am Kayla M. Crum, and a current undergraduate student, majoring in History. I enjoy history very much. All type of history, such as Church History, Women in Church History, American History, Warfare, and so much more.

Yet, have I not mentioned Theology. I thoroughly enjoy Theology. It is my favorite thing in the world. I stand by, "Theology Matters," and "Everyone Should be a Theologian."

The study of God is very important for Christians to study, and I love to do such.

Also, if you have not guessed (:]) I am reformed! I am a part of the E&R, which is, "Evangelical & Reformed." I could not be happier.

Fun Facts

Some fun facts about me are:

  1. I love the books (in the Bible) of Acts, Romans, all of the Gospels, and Proverbs.

  2. I love to write (if you could not guess). I love to write articles, and blog posts. Also, on the side, I write some fiction for fun.

  3. I love to read! Reading is such a fun hobby. My favorite topic is probably books about Christian Women.

  4. I can't stick to one hobby! Whether my nose is in a book, or my hands over a keyboard, I don't there. Because I have my back hunched over a crochet project.

  5. I crochet! I love to crochet! It has changed my course of life! You never know how much a hobby means until you've tried crochet.

  6. I own another blog. It's Kayla's Crochet Corner: https://kaylascrochetcorner.com/ This is where I talk about my crochet journey, and share patterns of my own and others. Also, I have a crochet Etsy as well which is linked on my blog.

Yes, I am a busy lady!

Statement of Faith

To put it simply, I believe in the Apostles' Creed, the Heidelberg Catechism, and to be more specific, while I am not Anglican, I do agree with the 39 Articles of Religion.

I do not believe we are saved by our own doing, but by God's Sovereign Grace. We have no place in our salvation, yet that we were dead and awakened by the Lord.

I do not believe that Baptism saves, yet that there is a covenantal relationship between families, so I do think that children should be baptized, and can be by sprinkling.

The Lord's Supper, I believe, has no affiliation with actually eating the Lord's body and blood, yet there is a mystical presence of the Lord giving Christians nourishment in the spirit.

The Tulip is so simple, yet very defining for me. The Tulip simply is: T: Total Depravity, U: Unconditional Election, L: Limited Atonement, I: Irresistible Grace, and P: Perseverance of the Saints. I will explain all of these in my blog.

I hope you thoroughly enjoy this blog, and all of my various writings. God bless!
