Thankfulness

However, instead of thinking about the substances we do not possess, we can reflect on the things we have—that the Lord has provided for us.

Every day, Christians should bring up their thankfulness to God. Why would we not? The Lord has provided humans with inexplicable blessings. We thank our parents for the meals they prepare for us. So, we should also thank our Heavenly Father for everything He has given us.

Occasionally, we experience disappointment because there are certain things that we desire or lack. However, instead of thinking about the substances we do not possess, we can reflect on the things we have—that the Lord has provided for us.

The Lord has blessed us with religious freedom. He has blessed us with school. We, as kids, may sometimes be mad that we have to do coursework. Yet, we should not see it as a problem, but as a blessing. Many children worldwide would do anything to be in the position we are in today—having the ability to learn. God has blessed us with food on our table, clothes on our bodies, a bed in our room, and numerous other things I cannot name because this article would turn into a book.

We may grunt or be grumpy because of everything we do not have. However, let us smile and praise the Almighty for all the things He has given us. Let us lift up our hearts to Him in prayer. Remember, pray thankfully for your family, friends, house, and most importantly, Jesus—your Savior who died on the cross, taking all your sins on Him.
